Day 1: Arrive Kolkata :
Arrival at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport Kolkata where you will be greeted by our representative and directly transfer to hotel for overnight stay. Free for own activities
Day 2: Kolkata - Dimapur - Kohima :
Early morning as per the sheduled flight catch proceed towards Dimapur. Arrival at Dimapur airport and the drive towards Kohima which is approx 74 kms of drive. At afternoom arrival at Kohima and check in at hotel for overnight halt.
Day 3 : Kohima :
Full day explore the Tribal Villages around Kohima. Overnight Halt
Day 4: Kohima - Tuophema :
Early morning, visit Vishwema Village and Kigwema Village which is known for Angamai Tribe. Later at afternoon drive towards Tuophema. Arrival at Tuophema check in at Guest House. Enjoy Evening at Tourist Village with Nagal folk music and dances.
Day 5: Tuophema - Wokha - Mokokchung :
After breakfast drive towards Mokokchung, situated at the elevation of 1325 mts and is the center of Ao Tribe enrouting visit of village house, Rock memorial, village rise mill etc. Arrival at Mokokchung & check-in at Guest House for overnight stay.
Day 6: Mokokchung :
After breakfast, Excursion of Mopungchukit village which is the permanent Mission Centre of Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the area on your own. Overnight at Mokochung
Day 7: Mokochung - Tuensang :
After breakfast proceed towards Tuensang enrouting LONGKHIM Village of Sangtam tribe. Arrival at Tuensang and check in at hotel for overnight halt. At evening visit TUENSANG Village of Cham Tribe, and explore around to see some of the finest traditional huts.
Day 8: Tuensang - Mon :
After an early breakfast drive to reach Mon via Tobu. Upon reaching Mon checkin at Rest House for overnight stay.
Day 9: Mon :
In the morning visit Shangnyu village. Visit -village Morong, Shangnyu village museum, Shangnyu Ang house which is close to the museum, Rock memorials etc. In the afternoon drive to Chui Village to see Wangkhao Ang House - one of the best Ang houses with beautiful decoration.
Day 10: Mon - Sonari - Sibsagar : Drive to Sibsagar, situated at Assam. It was capital of Ahom Dynasty which ruled Assam for over 600 yrs.
Day 11 : Sibsagar : Full day Excursion at Sibsagar and surrounding areas of Assam.
Day 12 : Day free to explore Sibsagar, Assam, Meghalaya and its surrounding area. O/n Sibsagar.
Day 13: Sibsagar - Dibrugarh – Kolkata :
Drive towards Dibrugarh airport inorder to board flight to Kolkata. Meet our representative and and transfer towards hotel for wash and change. As per the sheduled flight timing transfer towards airport for onward journey to Kolkata.
Day 14 : Kolkata : Full day Kolkata Photo walk. O/n Kolkata.
Day 15 : Kolkata – Departure :
Day free at Kolkata. As per flight timing transfer to Airport for onward journey to home town. Tour ends.
Day 01: Guwahati - Shillong (about 100 kms)
You will be received at Guwahati and later transferred to Shillong. Have Lunch enroute at Borapani Umiam Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. Overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.
Day 02: Shillong - Cherrapunjee :
After an early morning breakfast drive down to Krem Mawmluh Cave. This cave is located half a km west of Cherrapunjee adjacent to the small hamlet of Mawmluh. The cave has five river passage with impressive proportions. The cave has a length of over seven Kms. Explore the cave under the guidance of Best caving experts of South Asia. Also visit the Nohkalikai Waterfalls, the fourth tallest waterfall in Cherrapunjee and Living root Bridges. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
Day 03: Cherrapunjee:
An early wake up call and breakfast in the morning and ready to walk to the Double Decker Livng Root Bridge. An engineering marvel of indigenous Khasi Tribesmen. Who weaved the routes of the ereca tree to make bridges across streams. Return to Chera Tourist Resort after a picnic lunch at the bridge. Evening at leisure to experience the breathtaking views of the Khasi hills and the plains of Bangladesh. Overnight at Cherapunjee.
Day 04: Cherrapunjee - Shillong :
After breakfast drive to Shillong, the 'Scotland of the East". En-route encounter Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views. Overnight at Shillong.
Day 05: Shillong :
Sightseeing at Shillong, admire the beauty of Shillong also called Scotland of the East. It is erstwhile capital of undivided Assam present North-East and home to the Khasi Highland tribes. Overnight at Shillong.
Day 06: Shillong - Kaziranga National Park (about 280 kms) :
After a leissurely breakfast drive onto famous Kaziranga National park. Overnight at Kaziranga National Park.
Day 07: Kaziranga National Park :
Early morning explore central area of Kaziranga National park on an elephant safari. Ride an Elephant through the park chasing a unicorn rhino along with a wide range of rare species. After lunch again take jeep safari to the central area of the park. Rest of the day at leisure to explore nature. Overnight at tourist Lodge.
Day 08: Kaziranga National Park - Kohima - Touphema (about 266 kms) :
After breakfast drive to Kohima. On arrival lunch at Kohima and proceed to Touphema Village Resort run by Angami Naga village community. Overnight at Touphema Tourist village.
Day 09: Touphema - Kohima - Dimori Cove :
After breakfast check out of the village resort and drive to Kohima. After lunch visit the World War II Cemetery, nestled in the heart of Kohima town, where one of the fiercest battles was fought. On a huge stone in in-laid bronze the following famous words remind one of the undoubting courage displayed by the war heroes in order to preserve the freedom of the future generation. "When you go home Tell them of us and say For your Tomorrow We gave our today". Also visit The State Museum, located at Bayani hill kohima, it gives you a peep into the various aspects of Naga Culture. It displays dioramas of the lifestyle of the Naga tribes. Artifacts, handlooms, handicrafts, Tools and Implements, Gems and Jewellery, Coins and Ancient weaponry will give you an idea of the rich culture and heritage of the native people. Proceed to Kepfiizha (Kigwema village) and check into Dimori Cove. Overnight stay at Dimori Cove.
Day 10: Dimori Cove - Dziikuo valley : Morning drive to Dziikou valley via Jakhama village. The drive will end at a point from where one has to trek up to the Dzukou valley, which takes 4 hrs. Dzukou valley is at a height of 2438 mts is on the southwest side of Japfu ranges. It is at a distance of 25 kms from Kohima and can be approached from different routes via Jakhoma, Viswema on NH 39. This valley is a place of Solace and Tranquility and provides the right atmosphere for all eco adventures, nature lovers, trekkers. Bamboo brush, a tough dwarf bamboo predominates the vegetation and it gives an appearance of a fully mown lawn from afar. The serpentine streams and rivulets flows leisurely through the valley freeze during winter. Rhododendrons adorn the hills, rocks during spring. Summer brings its own variety of flowers to the valley, during this season, the valley looks a veritable "Garden of Eden". For all lovers of adventure and trekking, Dziikou beckons with the refrain, which seems to say - "All you seekers of Adventure, And lovers of tough treks, Come and be my guest- And drink deep of my beauty." Overnight in the rest house/rock caves or tents.
Day 11: Dziikou Valley - Dimori Cove : Morning Explore Dziikou valley. The call of Dziikou is irresistible for trekkers. This is the best trekking spot in the NE Region. Post Lunch return to Dimori Cove. Overnight stay at Dimori Cove.
Day 12: Dimori Cove - Khonoma - Kohima (about 20 kms) : Morning check out of Dimori Cove and drive to Khonoma Angami Tribal village and the home village of father of Naga Nationalist movement Angami Phizo. This village is located on top of a hillock has a pastoral beauty of its own. This was where the Last part of the Anglo Naga War was fought. Return to Kohima for overnight stay
Day 13: Kohima - Jorhat (about 200 kms) :
Early in the morning, we will drive to Jorhat, the tea-capital of Assam. On arrival at Jorhat, you will be accommodated in the Thengal Mansion, a historic ancestral house of a Tea Planter amidst an Asssamese village, 15 kms from Jorhat. The 72-year old Thangal Mansion is to answer the queries on Assamese culture and tradition. After lunch and rest, take a walk in a nearby village to see the simplicity of their lives.
Day 14: Jorhat - Sibasagar - Jorhat : Early in the morning we will depart for Sibasagar, the ancient capital of ahom kingdom (1699 - 1788). Taking a brief rest after lunch, visit Ranghar the Capital and military station of Ahom Kings, then we visit the Tolatol Ghar a seven storied building - Four above and Three Below the ground. The other significant archaeological remains in Sibasagar are Shiva Doul, Vishnu Doul and the Tombs of Ahom Kings and Queens in Charaideo Hillock. Return to Jorhat for overnight stay.
Day 15: Jorhat - Majuli :
Early morning drive to Majuli the biggest River Island in the world and seat of Baishnavite monasteries. You will cross mighty Brahmaputra on a ferry to reach this historic Island. Overnight stay at the Govt. circuit house at Majuli.
Day 16: Majuli :
Majuli, the biggest river island, laps Kamalabari Satra and Auniati Satra, centers of Vaishnavite culture. Early morning visit to these satras and admire the close proximity of nature that thrills. Arrive back at Circuit house and in the evening enjoy the cultural display by the artists.
Day 17: Majuli - Guwahati (about 340 kms)
Early morning drive to Guwahati. On arrival check in to your hotel. In the evening set out on a River cruise to watch the sun go down the Brahmaputra River and see yourself why the river is locally called 'Luit'- colour of blood. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 18: Guwahati
Today you will visit Sualchuci, the Manchester of Assam. Which produces some of the finest qualities of 'Adi' and 'Muga' silks hand-woven and presented in colourful dresses. There are lots if you want to buy as souvenir. Also visit Hajo an all religion pilgrimage centre. Arrive back at your hotel by afternoon. Rest of day at leisure.
Day 19: Guwahati (Departure)
Day free till the time of departure from Guwahati airport/railway station.
Arrive at Dibrugarh Airport. Transfer to standard hotel for overnight stay. Evening free to explore Dibrugarh Town at leisure.
After breakfast, leave for Mon (5-6 hours) in Nagaland which is the home of the fascinating Konyak Tribe, who are known for their tattooed faces, wood carving skills, and gun-making. Overnight at basic hotel/homestay.
Visit nearby Konyak Villages. Visit their houses, meet the tribesmen, and learn more about Konyak Naga culture. You will also get to visit Lungwa Village, half of which falls in Myanmar. See local crafts and war trophies. Oevrnight at basic hotel/homestay at Mon.
After breakfast, visit Chanmoho Village where it is common to see people with tattooed faces. Later proceed to Chiu Village where ancient traditional houses can still be seen, along with local weaves and crafts. Overnight at Mon.
After breakfast, drive to Mokokchung (5-7 hours), home to the Ao Tribe. Overnight at basic hotel/guesthouse.
Explore Mokokchung and nearby villages. Visit the villages of Impur, Moponchuket, Chungtia and Aliba. Observe the lifestyle of the Ao Tribe, visit their homes, and learn more about their customs. At Aliba, you will see the biggest log drum of Nagaland. Overnight at Mokokchung.
After breakfast, drive to Touphema (5 hours), home to the Angami Tribe. En route visit tribal villages, such as Ungma which is one of the oldest Naga village. Also visit homes of Lotha and Rengma Tribe. Overnight at community cottage in Touphema with modern amenities.
Explore Touphema and villages around. Visit tribal homes and learn more about Angami culture. Short hikes are possible. Overnight at Touphema.
After early breakfast, leave for sightseeing of Kohima. Later in the day, transfer to Khonoma Village where a community based ecotourism project exists and is run by the village council. The village was the first to embrace conservation into their daily lives, and today, the village has a community forest which is home to endangered bird species. Overnight will be in a tribal cottage/home-stay.
Day 10: Full day exploration of Khonoma and around. Interact with the tribe, see tribal architectural houses and take part in village activities. Go for hikes in the community forest.
